Guangzhou - Day 2 - Safari Park

We had our breakfast buffet and then met Connie, our guide, at 9:30am to go to the Safari Park.  We got there about 11am.  We were on our own in the park since Connie didn't get herself a ticket and wouldn't accept us to buy one for her.  So we agreed to meet her at 2pm outside the park.

There are 2 sections to the park, walking and on wheels.  Connie suggested to do the walking part 1st since the train would be busy.  So we walked around pretty much of the park.  The animals were fairly active and close-up.  They had this little monkey sitting on a bench.  It was so cute and soft.

And then this snake, which we paid 20 yuan for Chelsea to hold to take a picture.

They have about 10 pandas.  I think about 6 of them came from Sichuan after the big earthquake.

Of course there were all kinds of other animals.

After the walking part, we got on the tram and did the safari on wheels.  It goes around the left side of the park, where the animals are all out in the open.  People can also do this in their own cars.

Then we headed back to the hotel, via the electronics mart, where we got a new DS for Taylor.  We were going to eat right away but the buffet opened in about 50 minutes so we decided to wait for that.
