DOSSIER TO CHICAGO

Today we drove into Chicago.  First it was to the Secretary of State office to get the state seals.  They print out a page for each document certifying that the person that notarized our documents was a valid notary at the time they signed it.

Then it was on to the China Consulate.  We had hoped to be able to do what their website says and get the documents to the window by 11am and pick them up after 2pm.  My number was called just before 11am and when I asked the woman if I could do same day, she said they couldn't do that.  So I opted to pick them up tomorrow, still at the expedite fee of $50 per document.
