Here we go again!

I thought it was time to start up a blog for our journey to Allison.  Yes, we are adding another daughter to our family!  The basic information:

Name: Guo Cai Hong
Birthdate: 07/16/1999 (the same day as Kaylie's!)
Age: 10 1/2 years
City: Beihai, Guangxi, China

We are planning on calling her Allison.  Thus the name of this blog.  We haven't decided on her middle name(s).  I'm thinking that we should retain her Chinese name in there somewhere since she's had it for 10 years of her life already.  That way if she totally hates the name Allison, she can still legally be called by the name she knows now.

I first saw her in August on a Yahoo group which lists waiting children.  The thing that caught my eye was her birthday.  Not sure how it will work to have 2 kiddos with the same birthday (although I have a niece and nephew with the same birthday and I think they have survived).  She had heart surgery in May of 2008 but according to our pediatrician and a cardiologist that reviewed her file, she should be fine now.
